Ringing in 2008

Jeff and my celebration of the New Year was utterly quotidian. (I learned a new word the other day.) There are a couple precious hours each day when the kids are out and we finally have some time to not think about them. On this New Year's Eve, Jeff decided to use this time to take a long hot shower and I took the opportunity to space out as my breastpump droned on. Suddenly I heard some yelling and a lot of noise from the neighbors. Jeff hopped out of the bathroom to see why the kids were crying and looked pretty confused when he realized that they were sound asleep. Then we looked at the clock. Ohhhh yeahhhh, it's the New Year or something. We had a good laugh at our lameness and turned out the light. Another rowdy night at House Hayes.

Jeff! Thanks for the shout out on our blog and thank you for undertanding and sharing our vision! The DVD is a hard process for us and only our second attempt...and just might be our last! Glad you liked the letters too, we're more fond of this year's letter, it just makes so much sense to us. Hope to see you guys soon and meet Ruby sometime. Were were deathly ill on our last trip up to the bay but hope you guys had a great Christmas and New Year! Erin and Adam

We had an exhilarating evening as well. We were watching the "Jon & Kate + 8" marathon on Discovery Channel (have you seen this show? They have one set of twins and a set of sextuplets, all under the age of 6. Nothing makes me feel lazier than watching her take care of these kids and keep her house clean. Cheese & rice!) So we're watching episode 6 or something and I got mad at Earl for muting it -- but he was leaning over to give me a new year kiss. Who says marriage kills romance!
