Have we met before?

When I look at Ruby lately, I get the feeling that we've met before. Her face looks so familiar. But it has nothing to do with recognizing either Jeff or my own features in her little face. Then it struck me. I know where I've seen her before...

I've seen her on TV! Remember Buddy Lee, the Lee Jeans mascot? Well, he's back, but this time as Ruby Nora. It's so awesome being related to a pop icon.

As Ruby's working her way up to crawling, she coming up with some pretty nifty ways of getting around on her own. Right now she manages to get from Point A to B with a combination breast stroke/army crawl maneuver. Her path is always circuitous, but she does eventually get there. I'm going to kick myself hard if I don't get this on video before she moves onto actual crawling. According to Jeff, she's going to start crawling tomorrow, so I better act fast.

As for Levi, he's good. Right now Jeff and I are trying very hard to de-program him. He's really taken to whining. About 95% of what comes out of his mouth is intoned in a whine. I. Absolutely. Cannot. Stand. It. So when he whines, we stop whatever we're doing and I make him say exactly what he just said without the whine. It's tedious, but I hope he gets the idea very very soon.

oh blah dee

Nice weather eh? Life goes on with not much exciting to report, but not much to complain about either. Both kids had diarrhea for the past week and a concomitant diaper rash for Rubes, but it looks like we're moving past that now. Thank goodness!!! I've spent the downtime playing around with the new camera a little and nicely capturing some moments that wouldn't have been possible with our old setup.

Ruby likes the hat because it generally means she's getting strapped into the Bjorn carrier and going outside.
Candid shot of Levi having a good time with Dad. I can't help laughing whenever I see him smile like that.
More good times.
Culprit for Ruby's runs: solids. Sigh. At least she enjoys eating now: peas, sweet potatoes, squash, Cheerios, you name it.
