Levi's 4th and SOLD

Levi turned 4 yesterday. He's only going to get older from here, which sounds obvious, but it's certainly a bittersweet realization for me and Jeff. It means we're getting old too. It was a quiet birthday (no party), but I tried to compensate by allowing him to indulge in things with refined sugar. I sent him off to preschool with a plate of gingersnaps for his class. He helped me decorate them with the star-shaped cookie cutter and purple sprinkles that he picked out himself. Then he had another gingersnap after lunch, then a chocolate-marshmallow cupcake after nap, then a birthday brownie after dinner. Woohoo! That kid was spinning like a top until 11:00 last night! I'd say the little dude enjoyed himself.

In other news, our house has sold. We had to make more concessions than anticipated, but contingencies have been removed. It's a buyer's market indeed.

Mmmmm...sugar!

Yay! More sugar!

Um, where's my sugar?

this sucks

Our house has been on the market for just over a week now and I'm totally burnt out. It has to be ready to show at the drop of a hat, so I spend about 75% of my waking hours fighting the clutter created by those little demons otherwise known as Levi and Ruby. Let me tell you, this kids are experts. So far, at least 200 agents and clients have walked through the home. Our realtor is amazed at all the "excitement" and "interest" but so far no offers. Is anyone in the peanut gallery going to step up and sign a contract or is my fragile mental state all in vain?

Believe me, Rubes. It's much more exhausting cleaning up the mess than making it.
